The Werewolf Mobile Balancer is a dynamic rotor balancer with spectral analysis that shows where to add weight and how much, and can tell a rotor imbalance from a failing bearing or bent shaft. If your mulcher is shaking, start with our step-by-step forestry mulcher vibration diagnosis, then balance.
Mulcher rotor balancing, done in the field: the rotor spins at working speed in its own bearings while the unit reads magnitude and phase, measuring the machine as it actually runs. Balance after any change in mass, tooth replacement, hard-facing, welding or an impact, and finish the welding first so it doesn't undo the work afterward. Not every vibration is an imbalance; rule out worn or mismatched teeth, worn holders, packed debris and bearing play first, using our mulcher vibration guide. Balancing once a year usually suits a service call; running a crew and pulling teeth often, the unit pays for itself the first saved bearing job. Balancing weights are consumable, so keep the FGT weight kit with the unit, and if you're replacing teeth first, see our mulcher teeth range. Not sure if it's balance or something else?
