Is the 1100 Series right for your machine? Greenteeth size the series by horsepower and the 1100 is the largest they make. Green Manufacturing recommend it for stump grinders above 90 hp. Below that you want the 900 Series at 35 to 90 hp, the 700 Series at 18 to 35 hp, or the 500 Series under 18 hp. Unlike those three, the 1100 is not a LoPro pocket. It is a redesign of the original one-size-fits-all system, which is why 1100 pockets fit almost every stump grinder wheel on the market. Smaller again, under 20 hp, and you want 500 Series teeth and pockets.

Wearsharp, Red or GRN? All three are on this page and they cut differently. The Wearsharp tooth is shaped so the cutting edge stays sharp as it wears instead of rounding over. The Red tooth is the deep dish profile. The GRN or standard tooth has a shallower profile, which makes it more durable in rocky soil. All three take the same 1100 pockets, so you can change tooth style without changing anything else on the wheel.

Pockets come in pairs. Every 1100 pocket is made in a counter-bored version and a threaded version, and they mount as a pair with one on each side of the wheel. Angle, reverse angle and straight are all stocked here. The carbide on an 1100 tooth measures just over an inch across on a half inch shank, and each tooth has three cutting edges, so you rotate to a fresh edge with a standard wrench rather than replacing it.

Bolts and torque. The Greenbolt is used only with 1100 Series pockets. It has a smooth shank to reduce wheel wear and an external drive head so it comes out easily. We stock the 2-1/4 and 2-1/2 inch lengths. Green Manufacturing specify 50 ft-lbs on the 1100 nut and 180 to 200 ft-lbs on bolts threading into the pocket. Not sure which series you are running?
